Our Director.
After nearly 20 years of distinguished service in the British Army, Ben decided it was time to embark on a new chapter. Having joined the Army at 18, he began his career as a soldier in the Parachute Regiment before commissioning as an Army Officer in 2012 following graduation from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Rising to the rank of Major, Ben led teams in challenging environments across the world — developing exceptional leadership, planning, and risk management skills. Upon completing his military career, he channelled this experience into a new passion: arboriculture. Returning home to Aughton, West Lancashire, he founded Veteran Tree Surgeons with the aim of delivering the highest standards of professional tree care.
Today, Ben applies the same precision, discipline, and commitment to excellence that defined his military service to every project undertaken by Veteran Tree Surgeons. From detailed planning and safety management to leading a highly skilled team, Ben ensures each job is completed with efficiency, integrity, and the utmost respect for clients and the environment.
